50/50 Ace of Hearts Ticket Sales and Balance: Starting Balance: $2,287.00 Today's Collection: $82.00 Ending Balance: $ 2,369.00. Ed Stachura pulled the two of hearts and donated it back to the club.
 
Program: Today's speaker was Ms. Nancy Kielar co-founder of the Pink Pillow Project. The Buffalo based not for profit organization is dedicated to providing individuals diagnosed with breast cancer a free, specially-designated pillow to aid in their post-surgical recovery and to help them through treatment. Pillows are distributed through the WNY hospitals and individuals can request pillows directly from their website thepinkpillowproject.com. Over 100 pillows are distributed each month. The project is doing a fundraiser on 10/23/15 at the Historic Hamburg Theater withe comedy feature event by Rob Lederman and friends and music by The Gutter Prophets. Announcements and other business
  • Speaker calendar has filled up all through the end of this year. Next speaker opening is 1/6/16. Please keep on adding speakers.
  • Richard and dianne's Holiday party plans are firming up more to come on that as we get closer to the event.
  • Isadore DeMarco presented details about the Amherst clubs Harvest Moon Dinner and Dance fund raiser. 40% of the proceeds will benefit a homeless shelter in Buffalo and the remaining 40% will benefit a maternal health project in Belize. It will be at Buffalo Yacht club.
  • We need gift baskets and gift certificates for the golf outing. Please get those to the Golf Event Committee. If you can't golf join in the dinner or simply volunteer for the activities of the day.
  • Rotary Foundation dinner is at Salvatore's on 11/6/15
  • Various happy and sad fines fines were done.
  • There will be no meetings on 9/7 (labor day) and on 9/14 (day before golf outing). Next meeting at Milos will be on 9/21.
  • Please review the Club's roster and send any changes to Mike Burns.
