SPEAKERS-AMHERST SENIOR CENTER FOUNDATION

The speakers on Monday night, November 24, 2014 were Dal Giuliani, Executive Director and Charles "Bud" Kopp, President of the Amherst Senior Citizens Foundation. (ASCF)

The Mission of the ASCF is to raise and distribute funds to support services and activities that promote the welfare and vitality of senior citizens in the Town Of Amherst.

The ASCF over the past 20 years has provided:

• a new computer lab at the Amherst Senior Center that features six computer station and free WI-FI access , allowing additional seniors to bring in their own laptops to help seniors to learn computer basics
• wired the Amherst Senior Center with free Wi-Fi access throughout the building
• a newly expanded gift shop offering more room for seniors to shop and maneuver  while enjoying a wider selection of merchandise
• funding for vans for Amherst Senior transportation
• financial support for Amherst Meals on wheels
