100th Anniversary Gala

Kindly join us and Kevin Guest House on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at the Transit Valley Country Club, 8920 Transit Road, East Amherst, New York, as we jointly commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Rotary Club of Williamsville.

The event will support the $2 million “KGJ50” Campaign of Kevin Guest House, which aims to upgrade its hospitality facilities. The guest house is situated on Ellicott Street, in the center of the Buffalo-Niagara Medical Campus. More than 60,000 guests have stayed at KGH from WNY, the Southern Tier, and have flown to Buffalo from 49 states, Canada, and 11 other countries to receive cutting-edge urgent medical care. KGH is the first healthcare hospitality house in the country and served as a model for the Ronald McDonald House. Any age, medical condition, or healthcare professional is welcome, as are patients and their families.

Situated in upstate New York, Kevin Guest House is a 501(C)(3) independent non-profit organization that is authorized to accommodate guests with impaired immune systems, including those undergoing cellular therapy transplants. The campus of KGH is made up of four buildings. Ten guest rooms in the original Blue House may accommodate up to twenty individuals, while four transplant recovery apartments are located in the Yellow Brick Building and Carriage House. On the other hand, the recently opened Russell J. Salvatore Hospitality House features two more transplant recovery apartments in addition to four spacious family suites that can each hold up to six visitors. Each year, these facilities accommodate roughly 2,000 visitors.

The Williamsville Rotary Club has funded and taken part in a number of community initiatives since 1925. Leading the way and advocating for the creation of the Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital was arguably the most significant. A summary of our achievements can been seen in the attached document.
