Since 1925, the Rotary Club of Williamsville has a proud and demonstrated history of service not only in Williamsville, but also Western New York and the world.
In Amherst, the Club provides annual scholarship funds for Williamsville high school seniors, since 1987 participates with the Amherst Symphony Orchestra on a competitive musical scholarship to an Amherstonian, funds for the Amherst Youth Foundation, funds for international relief programs, such as a health clinic in Haiti (the poorest nation in the western hemisphere) and much, much more. Since 1988, the Club, together with its The Rotary Club of Williamsville Foundation, Inc. [a 501(c)3], has provided over $500,000 in funding to area benefactors such as Millard-Fillmore Suburban Hospital, Gateway-Longview Home, Amherst Meals On Wheels, the Amherst Senior Center, and other venues that improve the quality of life in our community.
The Club also maintains a garden (Rotary Park) in Glen Falls Park the near the Main Street waterfalls of Ellicott Creek, provides clothing for needy families and helps at the regional food bank every holiday season.
To raise funds for these and other charitable organizations, the Rotary Club of Williamsville hosts a variety of annual events like the annual Celebration - a Wine Tasting Gala in March/April, the Strawberry Festival on the 3rd Wednesday of June, the Classics Car Show in August, and other events.
