Program:  Dr Mishra updated us on how our donations are being used in Ranchi, India for the benefit of women and children there.  For the women, we are providing vocational training for over 500 women.  We are making a difference in the quality of their lives!  They are learning many skills and earning their own way by selling some of the fashions they produce.  In fact, Dr Mishra was wearing some clothing designed and produced by the women there, and it was beautiful.  These women, who normally survive on one meal per day are now learning how to provide for themselves.

We are also still providing meals, uniforms, books and schooling for many of the young children of the area.  The mid day meals they receive at the school are possibly the only meals they'll have for the day.  We saw several photos and short videos of the kids having fun learning.  Dr Mishra, and especially her mother who started the program are to be commended for the tireless work they do, and we can all be proud as Rotary sponsors to help them.  Congratulations to all of us!!
