David Stachura was born and raised in Snyder New York, attended NeumanHigh school, and graduated from CanisiusCollege with a degree in Accounting and Finance.

 

David and his wife Maria have been married for 25 years and they have 3 grown children ages 20-25, all of which graduated from WilliamsvilleSouthHigh School.

 

Employed by HSBC for the past 23 years last week David accepted a new position as Senior Vice President Business Unit Operational Risk working closely with the Branch network.

 

At HSBC he has held numerous positions in multiple disciplines, including Corporate Finance, Centralized Branch Operations, Strategic Planning, Group Audit, and Branch Management. In addition he received the Presidents award for his work in establishing a centralized Abandoned Property and Safe Box processing unit.

 

David is a past Rotarian with the Jamestown Rotary Club where he held committee chair positions for the Annual Benefit Auction and Student Exchange Committee, and also participated as a member of the Community Grants Committee.

 

While living in Jamestown he was a member of the Board of Directors of the United Way of Southern Chautauqua and the Jamestown Learning Council.

 

In both Jamestown and Amherst, David and Maria have been heavily involved in the Boy and Girl Scout Programs and as coaches for their children's team sports including baseball, swimming, and soccer.

 

David's hobbies include tending his extensive perennial garden and ornamental pond, golf, and reading about the history of Buffalo and Western New York.

 

David and Maria are also new to kayaking and volunteer at ReinsteinWoodsNatureCenter in Lancaster.
