GUESTS:   Andrew  Fretz attended the meeting to thank the club for sponsoring him in his foreign exchange to China.  He is extremely grateful and will return to tell us all about his experience.   


President Mike's Announcements:  The clubs new exchange student Anna will be living with a host family in Amherst.   Mike hopes to have her visit us at a club meeting in the future.

Mike is also working on a couple of club "field trips".  First,  a  visit to Country Club of Buffalo for a skeet shooting experience.  Second a two hour boat cruise and dinner on the "Spirit of Buffalo", a three mast sail boat.  Further information will follow in coming meetings. 


FOUNDATION Board Meeting:   August 22 nd .   Bob Chur's office, Limestone Drive in Williamsville.

BOARD Meeting:  August 29 th .   Amherst IDA office Main Street in Snyder.


CLUB GOLF OUTING:  Frank Ralabate invited everyone and their guest to participate in the Clubs FIRST ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT  on Tuesday Sept. 25, 2012 at Glen Oaks Golf course in East Amherst. 

Price is $100.PP and includes 18 holes of golf, cart, snack at the turn, dinner at the conclusion of the event.   For the NON-GOLFERS  come for the dinner after golf!  The day and evening will be load of fun!  Don't miss out!


AUGUST 12 AUTO SHOW:   Richard W. stated that the event went off well with no RAIN in attendance this year!  Approximately 104 cars showed up, some from as far away as Rochester, Syracuse and Canada.  There were also about 7 volunteers from the Williamsville East Rotary Club that helped our club with the event.  As of this evenings meeting all of the feedback on the Car Show has been very positive.  Richard THANKED all who volunteered their time to make the day a success!    


President Mike also reminded the club of his photography challenge to the club for the best unique photo of the event.  The winning photographer would have his new Rotary shirt (when they are chosen) paid for by Mike.      


WINE CELEBRATION 2013:  Tim Henderson just getting his committee together for the annual celebration.  Contact him if you are interested in being on his committee. 


FINE MASTER:   Paul Banas did a great job at collecting fine this evening.  There were many Happy fines for the success of our Olympic Athletes in triumphing over China this year, John Crawford for making his first bowl from his lathe, Mike S. for a great week-end with this Family, Frank Ralabate for a  135 yd. hole in one , Vicki for her next vacation to Palm Beach, and then  the usual late comers and no pins. . 

The total Pot had $1648.00 in it before Richard W. won his chance to draw the Ace of Hearts. He pulled a 7 card and donated it back to the Club.
